Hey, I’m Nate! I began my film criticism journey in 2022 on Letterboxd before launching Nate at the Movies in March 2025. By day, I teach elementary music in Fort Worth, but film and storytelling have long been great passions of mine. I love animated films and musicals and strive to champion animation in all its forms. To me, the best films are the magical ones—the stories that shimmer, move, and make the world feel bigger than it did before. As of November 2025, I’m also a proud member of the North Texas Film Critics Association, and I can’t wait to continue sharpening my craft with this new film community!

Originally from San Antonio, I earned my B.M.E. in Music Education from the University of North Texas before relocating to Fort Worth, where I live with my wife, Morgan, and our dog, Stanley.
